Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common home staging questions from Upstate SC agents and sellers.

Got questions about home staging? You are in the right place. Below are the answers we give most often to clients across Greenville, Anderson, Spartanburg, and Pickens counties. If your question is not here, call us or send an email. We love talking staging.

About Staging House

Who owns Staging House?

Staging House is owned by Alesha Oppatt and Jennifer Wills, two active Upstate SC real estate professionals who know what buyers want. Although we are licensed agents, we respect South Carolina agency. When we are on your project, we wear our staging hat only. We will not talk with you about anything beyond staging your home.

Where are you located and what areas do you serve?

We are based in Upstate South Carolina and serve Greenville, Anderson, Spartanburg, and Pickens counties. That includes Simpsonville, Fountain Inn, Greer, Easley, Travelers Rest, Taylors, Mauldin, and Anderson.

Our Services

What is included in your vacant home staging service? Every full-service vacant home staging project includes a walkthrough, a custom design plan, all furniture, art, lamps, rugs, pillows, and décor, full delivery and setup, and clean destaging at the end of the lease. Professional listing photos and lifestyle videos are available as add-on services.

Do you stage occupied homes?

No. Staging House offers full-service vacant home staging only. This keeps our quality consistent and our timelines tight. For occupied homes, we recommend Leslie Warner and Co at lesliewarnerandco.com.

Do you offer professional photos or videos for our staged listings? Yes. We offer professional listing photos and professional lifestyle videos for social media. Both are captured to make your listing shine online and catch buyers scrolling through photos and reels. They are at an additional cost and optional.

Do you stage luxury homes?

Yes. We stage homes across price points in Upstate SC, including luxury listings at Lake Keowee, Lake Hartwell, and Greenville's higher-end neighborhoods.

Timeline and Lease

How far in advance should I book staging?

We recommend two to four weeks out. Peak seasons like spring and early fall book faster, so earlier is better. For rush projects, call us and we will do our best to fit you in.

How long does staging take?

Most homes are staged in one day and ready for photos.

How long is the staging lease?

The standard lease is 35 days.

Can I extend the staging lease?

Yes. Extensions are available in 2 or 4 week increments if your listing needs more time.

What happens at the end of the lease?

At the end of your lease, Staging House removes all furniture, art, and décor and leaves the home clean. No packing or hauling on your end.

Pricing

How much does home staging cost?

Most Upstate SC vacant home staging projects run $1,800 to $3,000 based on home size, rooms staged, and lease length. Every quote is custom. Most homes fit into the $1900 - $2100 range.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes. We offer a free consultation prior to your quote so we can walk through the home, understand your goals, and build a custom staging plan.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit cards, ACH transfers, and checks. Payment is due 4 days prior to staging day. There is a 3% fee added to credit and debit card payments.

The Staging Process

How does the staging process work?

We start with a consultation to learn about the home. Next, we build a custom staging plan. On staging day, we deliver, set up, and style every included room. When your lease ends, we remove everything.

Can I choose the furniture style?

You can share style preferences, but our designers choose the final pieces based on the home and the buyer most likely to love it. We design to sell, not to match personal taste.

What if my home has unique or challenging spaces?

That is where we shine. Odd layouts, narrow rooms, angled walls, or rooms with multiple doors. We help buyers see the purpose of every space.

For Real Estate Agents

Do you work directly with real estate agents?

Yes. Agents are our primary client. We make you look good, help you sell faster, and respect your client relationship every step of the way.

Will you steal my clients?

No. Staging House works behind the scenes so you stay the expert. We build long-term relationships with agents by doing great work and staying in our lane.
